Every community we work with is one we can physically return to and impact 👨👩👧👦
We travel to Kenya regularly, spend time in these communities, sit with farmers and their families, and listen before acting 🧑🏾🌾
That’s how we decide where to help:
- Sometimes that means building wells 💧
- Sometimes it means upgrading schools 📚
- Sometimes it means improving housing 🛖
- Or helping with medical supplies for diseases affecting the community 🩺
It’s not a checklist, it’s what’s needed.
We don’t just visit.
We stay. We eat together. We live alongside the community to better understand what support actually looks like on the ground 🍲🌍
This isn’t a one-time thing.
We plan to do this every year and as Rafiki grows into other foods, this approach is our foundation 🌱
We started Rafiki because too many food companies talk about farmers without standing with them.
We chose to stand on the farmers’ side ✊🏾
